You’re Invited: TVIC Workshop and 16 Days Reception – Dec 10 at King’s University

Coming Up this 16 Days of Action: Trauma Violence Informed Care (TVIC) Into IPV Practice

In honor of International Human Rights Day, you’re invited to join us on December 10th at King’s University, Wemple Lounge (Wemple Hall), for a free, half-day workshop and reception marking the close of the 16 Days of Action. This gathering explores how Trauma- and Violence-Informed Care (TVIC) can continue to shape Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) work as we move into the new year!

The morning features keynote presentations from Dr. Nadine Wathen and Eden Hoffer, offering complementary insights into TVIC frameworks and their application across IPV practice settings. After the keynotes, participants are invited to join a hands-on workshop where we will review existing TVIC tools created for practitioners and provide feedback to strengthen their practical value. The day concludes with a reception—an informal space for reflection, conversation, and networking as we wrap up the 16 Days of Action. Light snacks and refreshments will be available.

Please share this event with anyone who may benefit from this knowledge, even if they do not work directly in IPV work, this workshop will have a lot of relevant information for people. Open to students, practitioners, researchers, and others interested in TVIC principles in IPV practice.
